Police Log: Gun Charges, Skateboarders with Fireworks and More

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 12

7:17 a.m. – A CPW Grounds Division employee called to report a Honda CRV parked at the fifth gate entrance at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, making it so large trucks would be unable to access the cemetery if needed.

9:30 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Marlboro and Old Pickard roads. There were no reported injuries, but one of the drivers was cited for a motor vehicle violation.

11:45 a.m. – A Holdenwood Road resident reported her cat had been missing since the previous Saturday.

3:47 p.m. – A Lowell Road resident reported fraudulent charges on her credit card.

4:40 p.m. – A Hayward Mill Circle resident called to complain about a loose dog in the area, which allegedly chased him onto his property when he was getting his mail.

6:57 p.m. – Police responded to a report of six allegedly intoxicated men by the water’s edge at White Pond off Hemlock Street. Police located the men, who were sent on their way.

7:46 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a man who looked like he was trying to climb the fence around the Starmet/Nuclear Metals site on Main Street in West Concord. The responding officer reported there were no issues at the scene – site security was repairing the fence.

8:28 p.m. – A motor vehicle vs. deer accident was reported on Elm Street by Commerford Road.

10:15 p.m. – A 911 call came in from Prescott Road reporting a vehicle with its lights on had been parked in front of the house for 10 minutes. Police checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

1:25 a.m. –Police responded to a report of five teenaged males riding skateboards and lighting off fireworks in the area of Adams Road. All was quiet on a check of the area.

10:09 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Whittemore Street and Sudbury Road, Philip J. Beaulieu, of 62 Westmynister Ave., Arlington, was arrested on a warrant and subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended.

4:06 p.m. – A South Street resident called 911 to request assistance with an ex-girlfriend trying to get into the house to retrieve a cat. The woman involved also called to request assistance in getting her cat back. As a result, Alex R. Moir, of 35 South St., Concord, was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250, assault, three counts of carrying a firearm without a license and two counts of violating a firearm surrender order.

6:07 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main Street and Staffordshire Lane, a Concord man was cited for number plate violation to conceal ID, operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended, no inspection sticker, unregistered motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle.

11:02 p.m. – A Holdenwood Road resident reported hearing strange noises in the area while taking out the trash. Police checked the area and reported all was quiet at the time.
