Police Log: Hedgehogs on Monument Street, a Bat in the Library
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Wednesday, Aug. 28
12:28 a.m. – A Peter Spring Road resident reported losing his wallet by the CVS on Sudbury Road at about 7 p.m. the previous evening. He was advised to notify his bank and cancel his cards.
8:20 a.m. – A Monument Street resident called to report an ongoing issue with hedgehogs in her yard.

9:38 a.m. – A 911 hang-up came in from the Alcott School. On the call-back, police spoke with a first-grade teacher who confirmed the call was accidental.
9:57 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a past hit-and-run to his vehicle, while it was parked on Baker Ave Extension.

3:20 p.m. – A Bartkus Farm resident reported a loose black dog in the area, possibly belonging to a Spencer Brook Road resident.
4:40 p.m. – Police responded to a report of solicitation activity in the area of Sorrel Road, involving a heavyset white man possibly selling windows. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the solicitor in question.
5:24 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 west and Main Street, a Lowell man was cited for operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended, miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations and marked lanes violation.
6:48 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a bat inside of the Concord Free Public Library’s main branch on Main Street.
7:50 p.m. – A Nathan Pratt Drive resident reported a noise complaint involving neighbors upstairs.
10:21 p.m. – A White Ave resident requested to speak with an officer regarding a past traffic complaint.
