Police Log: Illegal Dumping, German Tourists and a Fireworks Complaint

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 6

1:36 a.m. – Lincoln Police called over to request assistance with an LPD unit on a motor vehicle stop on Route 2 west by the DPW barn.

6:48 a.m. – A Hawthorne Village resident reported a work vehicle was creating a disturbance at Damon Mill Square. The responding officer reported contractors were changing light bulbs in the area.

6:50 a.m. – Staff from the Thoreau School called to report another incident of illegal dumping in a dumpster there, including a catheter and other personal medical equipment.

7 a.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a grey pickup with loud exhaust was operating erratically on Barretts Mill Road approaching Lowell Road. Police contacted the vehicle’s registered owner, and advised him of the complaint.

2:33 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a Golden Retriever found in the area of Ministerial Drive and Harrington Avenue. A neighbor who knew the dog came by and took it home.

5:26 p.m. – Police responded to a report of gunshot-type noises heard in the area of Comm Ave.

7:17 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Keyes Road, where a vehicle was parked with an older man and a young child inside of it. The responding officer reported they were tourists from Germany in a rental vehicle.

7:32 p.m. – A Lincoln woman reported losing her black leather wallet in the area of the All-Town Mobil on Route 2 after leaving it atop her vehicle and driving away from the station.

9:23 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident at the Route 2 rotary.

10:43 p.m. – Multiple 911 calls came in complaining of fireworks in the area of Main Street by Old Stow Road.
