Police Log: Lost Dogs, Stolen Purses, Suspicious Activity and More

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Dec. 7

12:17 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Sudbury Road and Thoreau Street, a Concord man was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield.

3:06 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Main Street, a Worcester man was cited for an unspecified motor vehicle infraction.

9:15 a.m. – A West Concord woman reported losing her dog in the area of Cousins Field on Prairie Street. The woman called later to report locating her dog.

12:54 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Old Road to Nine Acre Corner and Route 2, an Arlington woman was given a warning for no inspection sticker.

2:05 p.m. – Police responded to a reported traffic complaint regarding many cars parked on Lowell Road. The responding officer reported there was a gathering at a house on the street, and the homeowner said the cars would be leaving shortly. There was no traffic hazard.

2:48 p.m. – A Brooks Street resident called to report the two dogs she was watching have gone missing.

5:45 p.m. – A West Tisbury woman came into the station to report losing her black wallet sometime earlier in the day in Concord Center.

6:08 p.m. – An officer radioed in to report the Citizens Bank ATM on Lowell Road was unlocked.

6:40 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 2 east. One tow was needed.

9:12 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near a fence on Concord Green. The vehicle was there for a function at the club house.

Sunday, Dec. 8

1:45 a.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity involving a vehicle parked at the Thoreau Club.

10:35 a.m. – A Concord woman requested an officer stand by at the CPD lot for a child exchange with her husband.

1:23 p.m. – A Shirley woman came into the station to report a past breaking-and-entering to her motor vehicle when it was parked on Ministerial Drive between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 6. The woman said her purse was stolen from her unlocked Subaru.

2:26 p.m. – A Bedford woman called to report losing her keys in the vicinity of Monument Square on Dec. 7.

6:11 p.m. – A motorist called to report a cat darted out under her moving vehicle on Nashoba Road. The woman was unsure whether she had struck the animal, and the responding officer was unable to locate it in the area.

9:30 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Stow and Everett streets, a Concord man was cited for an inspection sticker violation.
