Police Log: Lost Rings, Sleeping in Cars and Construction-Related Calls

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Nov. 8

2:39 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report locating a man sleeping in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Best Western on Elm Street. He was a Carlisle resident, who checked OK and planned to stay on the premises overnight.

8:54 a.m. – A tutor at Concord-Carlisle High School reported losing her silver wedding band at the school the previous day. The woman later reported the ring was found and returned to her.

9:23 a.m. – A Concord woman came into the station to report losing her diamond ring while bicycling through town.

3:10 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a cement truck blocking some of the roadway on Conant Street. The responding officer reported the truck was off of the roadway at the time and there was no traffic hazard.

5:17 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Main Street and Harrington Avenue.

6:56 p.m. – A Hubbard Street resident reported losing her wallet around 2 p.m. that afternoon.

8:10 p.m. – Police responded to a report of construction noise coming from Main Street after 8 p.m. A contractor vehicle was leaving as the responding officer pulled up to the scene.

11:02 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Sudbury Road, a Waltham man was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

11:04 p.m. – An officer radioed in to report finding an open gate at the sanitary landfill on Walden Street. The landfill checked OK, and the responding officer secured the gate.
