Police Log: Loud Parties and Cats in Trees

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, July 27

12:08 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at the Route 2 rotary.

1:22 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Baker Ave Extension, a Fitchburg man was cited for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.

2:17 a.m. – A noise complaint came in from Garden Road reporting an outdoor party at a Riverdale Road residence. The responding officer reported there was a small gathering of adults on Riverdale, which agreed to move inside for the night.

7:04 a.m. – A Thoreau Street resident reported people playing tennis at Emerson Field before 8 a.m. The players were advised of the starting hour.

12:50 p.m. – Police responded to a parking complaint reporting vehicles parked at the landfill while their owners were at Walden Pond.

4:35 p.m. – Police responded to Fenn School for a report of apparent overnight trespassing that led to damage to tents, items thrown in the pool and golf carts moved. An extra eye was requested in the area.

5:12 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Alden and Plainfield roads.

8:11 p.m. – As a result of a pair of motor vehicle stops in the area of Walden Pond on Walden Street, two Lowell residents were cited for operating uninsured motor vehicles, number plate violations to conceal ID and operating unregistered motor vehicles.

Sunday, July 28

4:48 a.m. – A 911 caller reported a mid-sized sedan traveling through the Riverside Avenue area at a slow speed, stopping at different homes and shining flashlights. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle in question.

9:57 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a cat stuck in a tree on Stow Street.

1:46 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Road to Nine Acre Corner and Sudbury Road.

10:24 p.m. – A traffic complaint came in reporting a silver SUV speeding and almost striking a man walking his dog on Caterina Heights. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
