Police Log: Possibly Stolen Scrap Metal, Purse Pilfered from Day Care Parent

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Sept. 30

1:57 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report stopping a white pickup, which appeared to have scrap metal in the bed and matched the description in a BOLO out of Billerica, while it travelled west on Route 2 by Walden Street.

8:20 a.m. – Police responded to a reported break-in at the Thoreau Club on Forest Ridge Road. According to the incident report, two cabins were accessed sometime after Aug. 23.

11:04 a.m. – A parking complaint came in from Annursnac Hill Road reporting three vehicles blocking the access gate to a pond there. The responding officer reported no vehicles found.

1:22 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Main Street, an Acton resident was cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to obey signals/markings and no inspection sticker.

3:14 p.m. – A white terrier was reported missing from Hubbard Street.

5:43 p.m. – Police responded to the Walden School for Girls requesting assistance with a distraught female resident who was allegedly punching doors.

6:25 p.m. – Officers assisted Lincoln PD in shutting down Route 126 at Route 2 as a motor vehicle had crashed and snapped a pole on Route 126 across the Lincoln line.

Tuesday, Oct. 1

2:57 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report an open FedEx drop box by Nine Acre Convenience. There was no sign of forced entry, according to the incident report.

8:50 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident involving a CASE Collaborative vehicle on Main Street.

10:58 a.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a motor vehicle accident at the Rotary Circle on Route 2.

2:39 p.m. – A Concord woman came into the station to report an alleged fraud.

4:48 p.m. – A Hudson woman reported her purse was taken from her unlocked vehicle as she picked up her child from Middlesex Day Care Center on Lowell Road.

6:14 p.m. – A Hayward Mill Road resident called questioning the hours of the Musketaquid Gun Club’s range, and claiming gun blasts were causing a disturbance.

8:50 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Sudbury Road, a Lincoln man was cited for operating with a suspended/revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and unlicensed operation.

9:29 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Old Marlboro Road.

10:31 p.m. – A Thornton Lane resident reported someone ran past her house and threw an unknown item at the window. The responding officer checked the area and reported no damage to the house or property.
