Police Log: Problems at the Goodwill Trailer and Bottles Broken at CCHS

 Saturday, Dec. 22

3:59 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle stopped and running in the roadway by the asparagus farm on Bedford Street. An officer reported the vehicle checked OK and its driver had just stopped to rest.

4:02 a.m. – A livery driver reported there was a dead deer on Sudbury Road by Heath’s Bridge.

12:20 p.m. – Multiple 911 calls came in reporting a motor vehicle accident on Route 117 and Sudbury Road. There was no personal injury reported, but police requested two tows to the scene.

12:24 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an older woman yelling at an employee at the Goodwill trailer on Sudbury Road before leaving the scene in a brown sedan. The involved woman came into the station and reported she was concerned about the employee’s ability to properly secure the trailer’s door.

7:13 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity involving a white van backed up to the building at Concord Lumber with two people inside the vehicle. The two people inside the vehicle were the cleaners, according to the incident report.

Sunday, Dec. 23

3:15 a.m. – A Dalton Road resident requested a check of her residence after a book case fell over onto the ground. An officer checked the area and found no issues, the incident report said.

7:20 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report numerous broken glass bottles found in the upper fields parking lot at Concord-Carlisle High School.

11:21 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious person at Walden Rehab on Main Street. The person was reportedly there visiting a friend in the area and was looking for a place to smoke a cigarette.

11:59 a.m. – A Concord Greene resident came into the station to report past vandalism to his motor vehicle.

2:56 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a man possibly drinking wine in a vehicle near West Concord Liquors. The vehicle checked OK, according to the incident report.

7:01 p.m. – A Newton man called 911 to report his mother was attempting to drive off from the Rotary Gulf after causing a disturbance at the gas station. There was an alleged verbal domestic between the mother and son, but the peace was restored and a citation issued to the woman, the incident report said.

9:06 p.m. – Police responded to a 911 call reporting a silver vehicle with its tail light out ran a stop sign at Everett and Stow streets. Officers checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.
