Police Log: Reports of Vandalism, Break-Ins and Erratic Motor Vehicles

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug. 30

7:59 a.m. – Police responded to a report of an open apartment door on Comm Ave in West Concord. The property checked OK, according to the incident report.

8:29 a.m. – A cell phone caller reported an erratic motor vehicle on Route 2 west by Route 126. Police checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

10:05 a.m. – Police responded to a reported alarm activation on Virginia Road. It was confirmed as accidental by a real estate agent on the premises.

1:39 p.m. – Police responded to a burglary alarm on Wright Farm Road. The premises checked OK.

4:40 p.m. – A call came in from Baker Avenue reporting possible damage to three exterior flood lights. The responding officer reported there was no apparent malicious destruction of property there, and there was evidence found supporting faulty light figures, according to the incident report.

5:08 p.m. – A Main Street resident requested to speak with an officer regarding a possible Publishers Clearinghouse scam.

5:15 p.m. – A Concord woman came into the station to report her vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked at Concord District Court earlier in the day.

7:05 p.m. – Police responded to a possible past break-in at New Life Community Church on Baker Ave. The building checked OK with no signs of a break, according to the incident report.

10:20 p.m. – Police responded to a reported alarm activation in a basement on Carr Road. The cause was an apparent system malfunction, according to the incident report.
