Police Log: Sleeping in Tunnels, Suspicous Persons and Found Property

The following was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 8

6:47 a.m. – A Concord woman reported losing her silver credit card holder, and the credit cards and license contained therein, near the Hunt Gymnasium on Nov. 6.

8:07 a.m. – A Concord woman reported a man in a red jacket walking on the railroad tracks near Old Stow Road, which she thought was suspicious. An officer was dispatched to check the area and the Mass Bay Commuter Rail was notified.

8:58 a.m. – A Jennie Dugan Road resident reported noticing a man sleeping in the tunnel by Stone Rood Lane while she was out walking on Powdermill Road. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the man, and spoke with walkers in the area, who reported seeing nothing.

11:21 a.m. – A Concord woman walked into the station to report a possible eBay scam.

11:45 a.m. – Police responded to a report of three vehicles in the breakdown lane on Route 2 west at Sudbury Road. State Police were advised, and responding officers reported no vehicles found in the area – it was possibly a funeral procession.

12:48 p.m. – A Concord woman walked into the station to report her iPhone has been missing since a few days earlier. She reported losing it in and unknown location and that it was turned off, making it unable to be traced, the incident report said.

2:10 p.m. – A Marlboro man came into the station with a Jack Russell terrier he found. The dog’s owner was notified, and had the sitter respond to pick up the animal.

2:59 p.m. – A man came into the station with a red leather purse he found in Concord Center with an AmEx, $30 and loose chance inside.

3:13 p.m. – A 911 call came in from a Thoreau Street resident requesting help with a 56-year-old ex-boyfriend who was banging on her door. The man was located out front of the apartment; it was a verbal domestic only.

4:46 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an injured deer on Elm Street, across from Concord Gas. A Littleton man called later to report he was the one who hit the deer, which died.

4:51 p.m. – A Fielding Street resident reported the past larceny of his son’s DSL from their car while it was parked at Concord Hillside on Baker Avenue Extension.

6:07 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Valley Sports on Main Street. At least one person was transported to Emerson Hospital with injuries.

6:58 p.m. – Multiple 911 calls came in reporting a motor vehicle on its side on Lowell Road at Barnes Hill Road. Two flatbeds were dispatched. One occupant was transported to Emerson Hospital and the vehicles were removed.

8 p.m. – A call came in from New London Style Pizza reporting a wallet was found there. After unsuccessful attempts to contact the wallet’s owner, the property was turned over to the station.
