Police Log: Smash and Grab on Baker Ave Swipes Golf Clubs from Minivan

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Aug. 9

12:27 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report he was checking on a forklift at a construction area along Baker Avenue that had its door open and lifhts on.  The apparatus was within a fenced-in area and checked OK, the report said.

1:26 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a disabled motor vehicle in the area of Main street and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

2:11 a.m. – An officer reported checking on an individual sitting on a bench outside Walden Italian Kitchen on Comm Ave in West Concord. The officer reported she refused to answer any questions and walked away from the area.

10:12 a.m. – A Partridge Road resident reported that, on Aug. 6, he was traveling along Route 2A in Lincoln when a gold-colored Mercedes tailgated him and attempted to pass. The man said he spoke with Linocln PD at the time of the incident and just wanted it logged.

11:42 a.m. – A 911 caller reported a sick fox in the area of Concord Greene.

2:33 p.m. – Police responded to a report of several used syringes left on the sidewalk along Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, just off Route 2 east. Officers loated the items, which were disposed of at Emerson Hospital.

4:35 p.m. – A Sudbury resident reported his vehicle was broken into while parked on Baker Avenue. According to the incident report, the back window of his minivan was smashed and golf clubs were stolen from the vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

4:26 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a dispute among three females in the area of Walden and Everett streets. According to the incident report, the individuals were identified as a doctor and staff member from the and a student who was attempting to run away.

9:13 p.m. – An alarm company called in a burglar alarm activation at the water treatment plant on Bedford Street. The exterior checked secure.
