Police Log: Smashed Glass, and a Cleaning Lady Caught Stealing

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Sept. 2

1:03 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a possible restraining order violation on Nathan Pratt Drive. A resident there reported returning home from a trip to New York to find interior damage to his apartment, including broken glass strewn about.

12:25 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Assabet Avenue.

1:12 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a white man in a gold sedan-type vehicle driving slowly around Concord-Carlisle High School and looking into windows. The responding officer checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

2:34 p.m. – A Jamaica Plain resident reported losing an orange suitcase from the back of her vehicle while en route go Boston from Concord Academy.

4:24 p.m. – Acton Police relayed a report of an erratic motor vehicle, a white Dodge van, heading into Concord on Route 62. Concord Police stopped the vehicle on Staffordshire Lane; the motorist checked OK.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

1:57 a.m. – Police checked on a vehicle parked at the Concord Public Library’s main branch. The occupant checked OK; he was there using the public WiFi.

6:17 a.m. – Police responded to a reported alarm activation at Concord Commons.

6:37 a.m. – A custodian at Thoreau School reported finding boxes dumped in the dumpster there.

10:25 a.m. – A Laws Brook Road resident reported hearing banging on his front door about five minutes earlier, and then observing a blue Subaru in his driveway. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

10:36 a.m. – A call came in from the Trinitarian Church on Walden Street requesting a vehicle there be checked for suspicious activity. The man inside of the vehicle was waiting for his wife, who was cleaning a house across the street.

11:35 a.m. – An officer at Emerson Hospital was advised of suspicious activity, where an employee reported someone moved or damaged her name plate from its position near her office.

1:01 p.m. – A Barretts Mill Road resident reported catching her cleaning lady stealing money from her house. Police responded to the scene, where the cleaner was waiting with her boss.

4:40 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 2 by Emerson Hospital.

8:41 p.m. – Police responded to a report of two men panhandling by the Club Car Café on Commonwealth Avenue. According to the incident report, the two guys were there waiting for the next train to Boston and had asked a passerby for a cigarette.

9:30 p.m. – A Shore Drive resident reported an ongoing issue with a neighbor regarding access and use of his property.
