Police Log: Spiky-Haired Solicitor, Suspicious Activity and More

THe following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Sept. 26

2:43 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 2 by the Acton town line, a Rhode Island man was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.

4:45 a.m. – A shuttle driver for Emerson Hospital reported suspicious activity at the rear of Concord Healthcare in which a man walked across the parking lot and into a wooded area off Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

8:07 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a Silver Hill Road resident backing out of her driveway and striking a town vehicle.

9:51 a.m. – A complaint came in reporting a landscaping truck parked on the sidewalk in the area of Strawberry Hill and Barretts Mill roads.

10:59 a.m. – A 911 hang-up came in from Alcott School, which was confirmed as accidental by the custodian.

11:06 a.m. – Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Bedford Street by Partridge Lane.

2:01 p.m. – Officers assisted with a paper exchange following a motor vehicle accident in the area of Main Street and Keyes Road.

7:40 p.m. – A call came in from Hayward Mill Road reporting a woman with red spiked hair arrived at her door soliciting. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the woman in question.

8:10 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of the Main Street Mobil, a Dorchester man was cited for operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.
