Police Log: Stolen Cash, Stolen Corn and a Parking Complaint

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug. 16

8:47 a.m. – A Concord woman called to report spotting a coyote around Old Stow Road about 15 minutes earlier. The animal was not acting aggressively, according to the incident report.

8:55 a.m. – Police responded to a reported parking complaint at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center, where Council on Aging employees reportedly were involved in a dispute with a nearby businessowner who had been telling his patients to use the community center lot. According to the incident report, the man said he “would contact Town Hall” after being advised to no longer use the lot.

 10:57 a.m. – An Acton man was cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license after a motor vehicle stop in the area of Beharrell Street and Commonwealth Avenue.

2:52 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Main Street in West concord and assisted with the paper exchange.

3:16 p.m. – A Tennessee woman came into the station to report between $600 and $700 stolen from her the previous day at a Walden Street business.

4:11 p.m. – An employee from Verrill Farm reported the theft of corn by a woman who has an active notice to stay off of the property. As a result, a Weston woman was cited for shoplifting by asportation and trespassing.

9:38 p.m. – An employee from Main Street Market and Café called to request assistance with an allegedly intoxicated woman in the restaurant who has been denied service but continues to attempt to procure more booze from the bartender. The woman, a Concord resident, was picked up by her husband, according to the incident report.
