Police Log: Stolen Drugs, Lost Dogs, Suspicious Notes and Missing Jewelry

Monday, Nov. 4
8:26 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Prescott Road. The responding officer reported it was hit-and-run accident in which the suspect vehicle headed outbound on Bedford Street.
10:19 a.m. – A caregiver called from Thoreau Street reporting a suspicious note was left in the mailbox asking the homeowner to sell the house.

11:05 a.m. – A Black Duck Road resident came into the station to speak with an officer regarding recent fraudulent charges made using her credit card.
11:19 a.m. – An Elm Brook Lane resident reported losing her 18k gold bracelet—worth about $2,000—somewhere in Concord Center on Oct. 31.

1:34 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, a Westford resident was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.
2:57 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle in the area of Main and Church streets, but the involved vehicles were gone on arrival.
3:45 p.m. – Police responded to a report of $2,600 missing from an unlocked safe at a Main Street business. The incident is under investigation.
7:25 p.m. – A Concord man came into the station to turn in a Bank of America American Express card he reportedly found at Crosby’s Market.
8:12 p.m. – A woman from Hanscom Air Force Base reported losing her 2 5/8 karat, princess cut white gold diamond ring at Emerson Hospital earlier in the day. The woman claimed she removed the ring to wash her hands in a bathroom and failed to pick it back up.
Tuesday, Nov. 5
2:43 a.m. – Police checked on two vehicles parked in the upper fields at Concord-Carlisle High School – one from Kansas and one from Kentucky.
7:52 a.m. – Police assisted a Newton detective serving a warrant on a Dunstable man at Emerson Hospital.
8:01 a.m. – A Maynard man called to complain about a white Mercedes SUV tailgating him and attempting to pass his vehicle on Main Street, heading east by Thoreau Street.
9:38 a.m. – A Thoreau Street resident called to complain about a red Chrysler partially blocking his driveway. The responding officer issued a parking ticket.
11:05 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main Street and Route 2, a Maynard resident was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
12:51 p.m. – A Garden Road resident called to report one of her Irish Setters was missing form her home. A short time later, a CCHS student called to report an Irish Setter was on the railroad tracks behind the school. The woman was notified and eventually found her dog.
1:04 p.m. – Police responded to a Warner Street residence, where the homeowner found a suspicious letter in her mailbox that was an apparent attempt to solicit money from her.
4:47 p.m. – A Strawberry Hill Road resident called to complain that a dog somewhere in the area had been barking all day.
5:10 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the Emerson Hospital parking lot.
5:41 p.m. – Police responded to a reported larceny of narcotics from the CVS Pharmacy on Sudbury Road.
