Police Log: Stolen Jewelry, Accidents and Many Motor Vehicle Violations

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 2

1:17 a.m. – Police responded to Emerson Hospital to assist restraining an out-of-control female patient.

10:11 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Barretts Mill and Strawberry Hill roads, an Athol man was cited for a seatbelt violation.

11:41 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Commonwealth Avenue.

12:46 p.m. – A Seven Star Lane resident came into the station to report several pieces of jewelry went missing from her house over the past month and a half.

1:05 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported hit-and-run accident in the Walden Street municipal lot.

2:02 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop by St. Bernard’s Cemetery on Bedford Street, a Concord man received a verbal warning for an inspection sticker violation.

2:23 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop on Lowell Road, a Roxbury woman was cited for speeding.

5:23 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Laws Brook and Sorrel roads, a Petersham resident received a written warning for speed.

8:22 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle collision on Sudbury Road.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

6:03 a.m. – An officer radioed into report a traffic signal not cycling at the intersection of Main Street and Baker Avenue. 

7:21 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a truck parked on the beach at White Pond. The responding officer reported the man involved was fishing and did not see the gate.

8:22 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Baker Avenue Extension, a Fitchburg man was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle.

8:35 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in front of the Northeast Correctional Center in the area of Elm Street and Commerford Road. As a result, a Bedford woman was cited for a motor vehicle violation.

10:22 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main and Pine streets, a Maynard man was cited for an equipment violation.

11:05 a.m. – A 911 caller reported a man driving an Audi cut her off on Commonwealth Avenue and then yelled at her.

5:09 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a Lexington Road resident standing in her driveway and yelling loudly. The woman accused of yelling told police she was having knee problems and was calling over to her neighbor asking for help carrying laundry, but became upset because she felt her neighbors don’t like her and were ignoring her, according to the incident report.

10:09 p.m. – Police responded to a call from Emerson Hospital reporting suspicious activity involving threats.

11:24 p.m. – A 911 call came in from a motorist relaying a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Route 117 by Colonial Gardens. The accident occurred in Sudbury, and the town’s police department responded to the scene.
