Police Log: Stolen Tools, Missing Medication and Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Arrest

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Jan. 6

1:36 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Marlboro and Williams roads. The responding officer reported the vehicle was winched out of a snowbank by a towing company.

9:38 a.m. – A woman called 911 to report being involved in a two-car collision in the area of Garfield and Sudbury roads. One person was transported to Emerson Hospital.

10:09 a.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident involving a town vehicle on Powder Mill Road, between Stone Root Lane and Old Pickard Road.

11:09 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lexington and Old Bedford roads, a Malden resident was cited for expired registration.

11:32 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious white sedan and green mini van parked on White Avenue, and a man who attempted to reach the caller’s neighbor. The responding officer reported the house was secure and the vehicles gone on arrival.

1:02 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Barretts Mill and College roads, a Concord man was cited for speeding.

2:11 p.m. – A Sudbury Road resident called to complain about a Yellow Lab that had been tied up at the Robinson Well for about an hour.

5:20 p.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on the Annursnac Hill Road tower after finding the gate open. The officer reported the tower checked OK.

6:57 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of the West Concord Train Depot, a Dracut man was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle after his license was revoked.

9:07 p.m. – An Old Marlboro Road resident reported losing his brown wallet, possibly in the area of Concord Crossing. The man called back later to report finding the wallet in the Chang An parking lot.

10:39 p.m. – Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Best Western in which a woman attempted to make a reservation for an unreasonable advice and tossed her luggage across the lobby when she was turned away. The responding officer located the woman and transported her to the West Concord Depot and stood by until she got on the train.

Tuesday, Jan. 7

2:09 a.m. – Police checked on a vehicle parked and unattended in the Sanborn School lot.

3:24 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Concord and Cambridge turnpikes, an Acton resident was cited for speeding.

7:14 a.m. – A passing motorist reported a Cumberland Farms delivery truck was blocking a traffic lane on Thoreau Street for an extended period of time while making a delivery to the store.

7:18 a.m. – Police responded to a reported parking problem at Crosby’s Market involving commuters using private parking spots.

9:13 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop by the transfer station on Walden Street, a Milford man was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with his license revoked.

10:02 a.m. – Emerson Hospital security reported a vendor had tools stolen from a storage container in an employees lot by the helipad.

10:39 a.m. – A Concord woman came into the station to speak with an officer regarding jewelry, silverware and medication missing from her Elm Street home.

12:39 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop by Dunkin Donuts in West concord, a Maynard man was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle and no inspection sticker.

2:10 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the Rite Aid parking lot off Lowell Road, a Somerville man was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended (subsequent offense) and motor vehicle lights violation.

2:51 p.m. – Police responded to a traffic complaint reporting an erratic motor vehicle in the area of Barretts Mill and Lowell roads.

3:02 p.m. – Multiple calls came in reporting a truck hit the bridge by the South Bridge Boat House on Main Street. As a result, a Concord man was cited for failure to obey signs.

3:53 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a motor vehicle accident in the area of Main and Thoreau streets.

8:33 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Main Street, a Leominster resident was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle.

10:14 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Old Marlboro Road. The vehicle was towed from the scene and an officer transported the driver to her Sudbury home.
