Police Log: Stray Dogs, Downed Branches and Suspicious Vehicles

Friday, Aug. 9
12:07 a.m. – A 911 caller from Lexington Road reported hearing a loud bang—possibly gunshots—in the area of Cambridge Turnpike. Police checked the area, and all was quiet at the time.
12:24 a.m. – AAA called in a disabled motor vehicle in the area of Route 2 east by Walden Street, where a motorist was changing a flat on the side of the highway.

11:52 a.m. – A Lowell Road resident reported suspicious activity involving a Honda Odyssey parked in the driveway. The responding officer reported the vehicle’s owner was visiting next door.
12:54 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a large truck attempting to turn around on Main Street by Wood Street.

6:42 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a stray dog in the area of Concord Greene.
7:54 p.m. – An officer stopped to assist a motorist with a disabled vehicle on Route 2 at Emerson Hospital.
8:03 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a tree branch in the roadway on Old Marlboro Road.
9:07 p.m. – A 911 call came in from Concord Park, which was confirmed as accidental.
