Police Log: Suspicious Activity and a Lost Dog Named 'Angus'

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Dec. 26

9:39 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Laws Brook Road and Wedgewood Common, a Concord woman received a verbal warning for displaying expired registration.

9:49 a.m. – Police responded to a report of an older woman with a shopping back walking on Route 2 by Elm Street. The woman was gone on arrival.

12:23 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Sudbury Road, a Wrentham woman was cited for inspection sticker violation.

1:04 p.m. – A caller reported seeing a dog running through the roadway in the area of Bedford Street and Prescott Road. The animal control officer contacted the owners to pick up their dog.

1:22 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Road to Nine Acre Corner and Seven Star Lane. Two patients refused medical transport and one motorist was cited for an unspecified traffic violation.

3:07 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of the Concord Municipal Light Plant headquarters on Elm Street. One motorist was cited for an unspecified violation.

4:22 p.m. – A Mattison Driver resident reported finding a husky with an ID caller identifying him as “Angus.”

7:37 p.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Conant Street. It was confirmed as accidental by a resident attempting to dial long distance.

9:39 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Baker Avenue Extension, a Boxborough man received a written warning for speeding.

10:58 p.m. – Police responded to a 911 call reporting suspicious activity involving a dark-colored pickup truck pulling in front a Hayward Mill Road residence and idling for two minutes before leaving toward Border Road. The responding officer checked the area and was unable to locate the motor vehicle.
