Police Log: Suspicious Calls, Suspicious Cars and an OUI Arrest

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Jan. 31

3:54 a.m. – A 911 call came in from Laws Brook Road reporting a large tree down in the roadway. Police responded to the scene and requested the Tree Department.

8:42 a.m. – The School Resource Officer was notified a CCHS student’s ski equipment was reportedly stolen on Jan. 22.

1:06 p.m. – A Barrett’s Mill Road resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call from her ex-husband.

1:08 p.m. – A 911 hang-up came in from Welch’s Foods on Baker Avenue Extension. On the callback, police spoke with an employee who confirmed the call was accidental.

1:59 p.m. – Multiple callers reported . Responders shut down the roadway while the large tree could be removed.

3:33 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a patient out of control at Concord Internal Medicine Associates on main Street. The woman was sent on her way by the office manager.

5:25 p.m. – A Concord woman reported a silver Lexus cut her off by Chang An on Sudbury Road and then failed to yield to another vehicle at Sudbury and Main Street.

6:43 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a sedan driving back and forth down Shadyside Avenue. Police located the vehicle involved; its driver was practicing driving a standard transmission, the incident report said.

8:59 p.m. – A caller from the 99 Restaurant reported a possibly intoxicated woman was entering a vehicle next door. As a result of a subsequent motor vehicle stop on Derby Street, heather Ann Gwinn, 48, of 1248 Main St., Apt. B, Concord, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
