Police Log: Suspicious People, Accidents and a Car Stuck on the Tracks

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Nov. 20

3:31 a.m. – A passing motorist reported observing two people on foot in the area of Verrill Farm. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.

11 a.m. – A Main Street resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call asking her to take a survey.

11:21 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street by Commonwealth Avenue in West Concord.

11:28 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Main and Pine streets, a Beverly woman was issued a citation for failure to use care.

12:06 p.m. – A motorist, who refused to provide any personal information, called to complain about a farm truck operating erratically on Route 2 east in the area of Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. Police checked the area, but the vehicle was gone on arrival.

12:26 p.m. – A woman walked into the station to drop off a wallet she found in the parking lot at Trails End Café.

3:54 p.m. – A 911 caller reported a motor vehicle accident in the area of the Northeastern Correctional Center. Emergency responders transported one person to Emerson Hospital.

4:20 p.m. – State Police requested assistance checking Route 2 west in the area of the Papa Razzi for a man reportedly sleeping in his car in the travel lane. Police checked both sides of the highway from the Concord Rotary to Old Road to Nine Acre, but found no one matching that description.

4:59 p.m. – Multiple 911 callers reported a motor vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks by the Thoreau Depot and Belknap Street. A collision company came to remove the car, and the tracks cleared.

5:11 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident near the Dunkin’ Donuts at Sudbury Road and Nine Acre Corner. A tow company came to collect a damaged vehicle.

9:34 p.m. – Sudbury Police relayed a report of an erratic operator on Route 117 in the area of Nine Acre Corner.
