Police Log: Suspicious Persons and a Crosswalk Confrontation

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

6:10 a.m. – A Monument Street resident reported a suspicious motor vehicle running with its lights off at her neighbor’s house. A responding officer reported the involved vehicle was from Boston Coach.

9:36 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Commonwealth Avenue in West concord. There were no reported injuries, but a wrecker was requested to the scene.

11:16 a.m. – A woman called from Concord Health Care on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner reporting a threatening letter was left under her office door.

1:51 p.m. – An employee from Artinian Jewelers reported a suspicious woman came into the station about 30 minutes ago and was back now. Both times, the woman looked at gold chains and then left the area, the caller said.

5:05 p.m. – Police responded to a report that a motorist on her cell phone had to be forced to stop by a woman in a crosswalk on Main Street in Concord Center. Police contacted the motorist, who said she did stop for the woman in the crosswalk, and that the woman was yelling at her. Police advised the woman to stop for every crosswalk in Concord Center due to the heavy foot traffic.

11:44 p.m. – An alarm company relayed a commercial alarm activation at the Fowler Branch Library on Main Street in West Concord. The responding officer reported it was accidental by a cleaner.
