Police Log: The One With The Attempted Fax Machine Scam

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 24

7:55 a.m. – A Powder Mill Road resident reported receiving a possible scam letter through a fax machine through her residence.

9:21 a.m. – A Williams Road resident reported a black Lab was on his property killing his chickens.  The dog’s owner was responded to pick up her dog and speak with her neighbor.

11:08 a.m. – A Sudbury Road resident reported vandalism to her mailbox, which was located on Riverdale. The damage was confirmed to be caused by a contractor while moving a disabled motor vehicle.

11:28 a.m. – A Monument Street resident reported losing her $500 string of white pearls in the parking lot at Crosby’s.

11:44 a.m. – A Groton woman reported her iPhone was lost or stolen from Nashoba Brook Bakery the previous day.

5:11 p.m. – A Lexington Fire lieutenant reported finding  Kindle in a leather case on Route 2 in Lincoln.

5:22 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Fitchburg Turnpike. The vehicles moved over to the Nine Acre Corner Gulf, where one of the operators was issued a citation.

10:19 p.m. – Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a deer on Elm Street by Commerford Road. The vehicle was towed and the animal was picked up.
