Police Log: The One with the Unknown Bones

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 14

6:46 a.m. – A traffic complaint came in reporting a Toyota Yaris was tailgating in the vicinity of Monument Square. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the motor vehicle.

9:25 a.m. – A Barnes Hill Road resident called to report her mailbox was knocked over sometime overnight.

9:51 a.m. – A 911 call came in from a truck drive who reported being stuck at the Main Street bridge, where he was unable to fit under the bridge and unable to turn around due to traffic. The truck was eventually able to turn around, according to the incident report.

1:23 p.m. – Police responded to a report of unknown bones found on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, past the pump station.

2:11 p.m. – A Westford Road resident came into the station to report she believed a moving company that was at her house the previous day may have stolen a bottle of pills.

2:51 p.m. – An Old Bedford Road resident called to complain about a construction vehicle parked at her neighbor’s house causing a traffic hazard. The vehicle was moved to the side of the roadway.

5:05 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported hit-and-run accident on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, by Emerson Hospital.

7:08 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Elm Street by the Rotary.

7:54 p.m. – An Old Bedford Road resident reported suspicious activity involving solicitors from a window installation company working in the area.

10:33 p.m. – As a result of a report of a past domestic assault and battery, Kyle Kenneth Shrewsbury, of 116 Pond St., Apt. 2, Waltham, was arrested and charged with assault, simple assault and battery and intimidating a witness.
