Police Log: The One with the Water Cooler Left by the Side of the Road

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 3

7:47 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a minor motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle “tapped” the rear of the car ahead of it while standing at a traffic signal at Main Street and Route 2. The responding officer spoke with the motorist in question, who said solar glare played a part of the accident.

9:46 a.m. – A Belknap Street resident reported a bicycle left near the inbound tracks at the Thoreau Depot. Police checked the area, but did not locate a bike there.

11:26 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious man walking by the Montessori school on Domino Drive and looking at students. The man was identified as a Conant Street resident.

11:30 a.m. – Multiple 911 calls came in reporting a traffic collision in on Commonwealth Avenue.

3:18 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a past fraud involving Post Office boxes.

4:34 p.m. – A passerby called to report an abandoned blue-and-white lunch cooler on the side of the road in front of a Hubbard Street residence.

5:38 p.m. – A Peter Bulkeley Road resident reported hearing gunshots in the area. The responding officer reported all was quiet at the time.

7:01 p.m. – A parking complaint came in from Hayward Road resident reporting an unfamiliar vehicle parked in front of his home. The responding officer confirmed there was no hazard and no violation.
