Police Log: Traffic Troubles and A Man Arrested for Disturbing the Peace

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Dec. 13

1:18 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a car with Florida plates that had its interior light on, parked on Belknap Street.

9:38 a.m. – Police responded to a burglary alarm activation on Caterina Heights. The building checked secure.

12:38 p.m. – A 911 call from Forest Ridge Road reported a strong odor of smoke coming from inside a neighboring apartment. The cause turned out to be burnt toast, the incident report said.

1:53 p.m. – Police responded to a report of fraudulent activity on the credit card of a customer at the Colonial Inn.

2:57 p.m. – A Barnes Hill Road resident called to complain about a tractor trailer unit parked at the corner of Barnes Hill and Estabrook roads, causing a hazard for passing motorists. The truck had made a delivery and left the area, the incident report said.

6:08 p.m. – Multiple calls came in reporting a dead deer on Route 2 in the area of Crosby’s Corner. MassHighway checked the area to Tracy’s Corner in Lincoln, and the animal was reportedly gone on arrival.

7:14 p.m. – A Carlisle man reported being involved in a minor motor vehicle accident earlier in the day at the intersection of Lowell and Westford roads.

8 p.m. – Police responded to a 911 call from Comella’s reporting an intoxicated man was making a nonviolent disturbance and refusing to leave. John McKenna, 54, of 29 Laurel St., Concord, was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace.
