Police Log: Vandalism, Snacks and Cigarettes Stolen

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 11

9:15 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle vs. deer accident in the area of Keyes and Lowell roads. Both animal and vehicle were gone on arrival, according to the incident report.

9:47 a.m. – A woman came into the station to report a motor vehicle passed her on Lowell Road, causing a hazard to other motorists.

10:52 a.m. – Police responded to a report of vandalism to the back of Brine Sporting Goods, where a wall was tagged with bright green spray paint.

2:39 – A call came in from the Thoreau Club reporting an ongoing issue with a man who continually entered the property though he was not welcome there. The employee was given his options regarding a trespass notice.

4:21 p.m. – A Hayward Mill Road residence requested assistance dealing with a former contractor who was parked in her driveway claiming there was money owed. The responding officer reported the homeowner and contractor resolved the matter for the time being.

10 p.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a vehicle parked at the landfill site on Walden Street.

Friday, July 12

2:34 a.m. -- Following an abandoned 911 call came in from Crosby’s Mobil, police spoke with an employee who reported a white man had attempted to shoplift a bag of chips and electronic cigarettes before a friend made him return the items. The caller reported the man appeared to be intoxicated, but the guy’s friend paid for the chips and returned the Krave cigarettes before leaving with no further issues.

8:13 a.m. – An Ayer man reported losing his wallet sometime the previous day on Main Street in Concord Center.

12:23 p.m. – A Main Street resident reported a suspicious woman was in the area earlier, which made the caller suspicious because her pocket book was stolen about a week earlier.

2:07 p.m. – A man called from the Fenn School reporting an incident between a neighbor and a camper’s mother during pickup time. According to the caller, the incident was the latest example of an ongoing problem in which camper parents use a neighbor’s driveway to turn around and the neighbor yells and swears at them.

3:43 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an erratic operator on Sudbury Road.

5:59 p.m. – A Main Street resident came into the station to report that her son had received a threatening phone message.

8:57 p.m. – An Old Stow Road resident called to complain about fireworks going off in the area of his home.
