Police Log: When NIMBY Becomes NIMDW

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, July 17

6:23 a.m. – A noise complaint came in from Revolutionary Road reporting a paving crew backing up and dropping off equipment in the area. Police checked the area, but no disturbances were found.

10:57 a.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled motor vehicle in the area of Route 62 and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

12:45 p.m. – A caller complained about a white BMW turning around in her driveway on Musterfield Road.

12:45 p.m. – A Brigham Road resident called to complain about a tree company crew’s truck being parked in “a bad spot.” The responding officer reported the tree truck was moving up and down the road.

4:12 p.m. – A 911 caller reported a large tree branch blocking the roadway on Lowell Road. A second caller claimed his vehicle was damaged by the falling branch. The responding officer reported a landscaper was on scene cutting the branch and removing it from the roadway.

8:28 p.m. – A Hemlock Street resident called to complain about alleged illegal parking in the area. The responding officer reported any violating vehicles had left the area.

8:56 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop near the Light Plant headquarters on Elm Street, an Acton man was cited for operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended.

9:07 p.m. – A Sudbury woman reported her iPhone was stolen while at the Concord Country Club earlier in the day, and that she was able to retrieve information that suggested her phone was in use by another person.

11:50 p.m. – Police responded to a report of possibly intoxicated people outside a Concord Mews building, who were allegedly speaking loudly and using vulgar language. The responding officer reported all was quiet at the time.
