Police Log: Wrong-Way Drivers and Returned Wallets

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Dec. 6

12:15 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a motor vehicle with its rear door open on Main Street. He said the vehicle checked OK, it’s door left open due to apparent neglect.

12:34 a.m. – A Prairie Street resident reported suspicious people inside a running vehicle parked in the street. The responding officer reported the people in the vehicle were programming the radio.

9:21 a.m. – Police responded to a reported complaint about a blue sedan and a green jeep driving on the wrong side of roadway while the railroad gates were down in order to get into the Wet Concord parking lot. 

3:46 p.m. – A caller reported a bag of cement blocking the left lane on Route 2 westbound, just past Sudbury Road. The responding officer moved the bag to the side of the roadway.

4:59 p.m. – Police responded to a report of traffic blocking the intersection at Cottage and Main streets, causing a backup. The responding officer reported there was heavy traffic in the area, but the intersection was clear.

5:15 p.m. – A motorist reported spotting a Golden Retriever on the side of Lowell Road, between the Middlesex School and the Carlisle line.

6:15 p.m. – An employee from noa reported a Concord woman left her wallet behind at the store today and she had not been able to contact her. Police retrieved the wallet and returned it to its owner.
