Selectmen Meeting to Offer Update on Freeman Bike Trail

Selectmen will meet at 5:30 p.m. today.

 

The Concord Board of Selectmen will convene at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon to discuss a wealth of issues, including an update on housing from the Concord Housing Development Corporation.

Also on the agenda is a look on the progress of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. The recreational trail currently encompasses Lowell, Chelmsford and Westford, but officials from both Concord and Acton have about extending the trail into their respective communities.

Selectmen today will discuss a possible point of entry for the trail in Concord.

Finally, today’s agenda looks to approve a deed to transfer land at 335 Walden Street to the Natural Resources Commission, and the idea to add a Special Town Meeting within the Annual Town Meeting will be discussed.
