Tsongas Raises More Than $300k in Three Months

Congresswoman Niki Tsongas' campaign has now raised nearly $1.2 million during the 2012 election cycle.

 

Massachusetts Fifth District Congresswoman Niki Tsongas has announced her campaign raised $308,126 between the beginning of April and the end of May, bringing her total so far in the cycle to nearly $1.2 million.

Tsongas (D-Lowell) now has $405,181 on hand, with the amount of individuals contributing to the Tsongas campaign growing by 25 percent from the first three months of the year.

“I am incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from the thousands of people who have invested in my campaign,” said Tsongas.  "I am particularly proud that 91 percent of our contributions came from inside the state.”

From here, the campaign aims to reach the $2 million marks set during the special election to fill the seat in 2007 and in 2010.

“Our campaign is well poised to meet our goals over the months ahead,” said Campaign Manager Eric Slusher. “We are very confident that the tremendous grassroots support she has received will continue to grow over the final stretch of the campaign.”
