C-C Among the Best Mass Schools for SAT Performance

See which schools had the highest scores this year.

The College Board has released its annual survey of average SAT scores for schools. Boston.com has a slideshow with the top 15 schools. There are a lot of schools you'd expect at the top of the list in Massachusetts. 

Concord-Carlisle Regional High School landed the No. 11 spot on the list, with a total mean score of 1807. That's a Reading mean score of 598, Math mean score of 617 and a writing mean of 592. The total number of test takers was 286, according to the Boston.com gallery

Topping the list? The Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science, a magnet school in Worcester, Mass. It's the Worcester version of Boston Latin, which ranked number four on the annual list. The academy had a mean score of 2042, which is about a 1400 on the old SAT scoring system that you remember from high school.

Other top-performing schools include Lexington, Acton-Boxborouh, Newton South and Wellesley. Check out the full slideshow at boston.com.
