Concord Public Schools Closed Thursday, Jan. 2

Concord Superintendent of Schools Diana Rigby made the announcement Wednesday night on Twitter.

It'll be a longer vacation than expected for the students of the Concord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle High School as school has been cancelled for Thursday, Jan. 2 ahead of an anticipated snow storm.

Superintendent of Schools Diana Rigby shared the news on Twitter Wednesday night, saying "Concord and Concord-Carlisle High schools are canceled for Thursday, Jan. 2 due to snow storm. Stay tuned for Friday."

With more than a foot of snow possible by the end of the day Friday, schools around the region have been announcing cancellations, which amount to extensions of Christmas/Winter vacation.

In Concord, public school students have been off since Friday, Dec. 20, and were due to return on Thursday, Jan. 2. Several districts in the area have already cancelled school for Friday, as well. But that call hasn't been made yet in Concord.
