Former Concord-Carlisle Student Files $2 Million Suit for Being Bullied

The suit alleges that school officials ignored the former student's pleas to stop the bullying.

A former student has sued Concord-Carlisle Regional High School for $2 million because she said the school ignored her pleas to stop people from bullying her.

The bullying Isabelle “Belle” Hankey, 18, endured included death threats, crude messages carved into her car and feces being put on her car, according to a report in the Boston Globe. The bullying led to her having a pulmonary embolism, she claims in the suit, forcing her to leave the school her senior year.

Hankey’s suit also names school officials, including the superintendent, the princnipal and an assistant principal to whom she says she reported the incidents. The suit is the first filed in conjunction with the Massachusetts Anti-Bullying Law passed in 2010.
