This week was School Bus Safety Week and also Yellow Blitz Week, Your Transportation Department along with local police and each school administration were conducting Bus Evacuation at each school in the districts. Transportation Adm, drivers and police are making awareness, instruction and the importance of a safe bus evacuation to students in case of a real emergency. The Registry, local law enforcement and your Transportation Department are participating in Operation Yellow Blitz during School Bus Safety week as local police were shadowing our school buses to catch motor vehicles that violate school bus stop lights and driving through them while buses are picking up and discharging our students on local roads. A big thank you to our drivers, mechanics, police and staff at each school.
