LETTER: Dorr Supports Snook, Boynton for Concord School Committee

College Road resident Betsy Dorr calls Boynton and Snook 'proven leaders with unsurpassed credentials.'

To the Editor,

I am writing to enthusiastically support and endorse both Kathi Snook and Johanna Boynton in the upcoming school committee election in March.

This is the first contested School Committee election in a very long time, with two openings on the School Committee and four candidates running to fill them.

Although I admire anyone who would throw his or her hat in the ring for such a difficult and time consuming job, there are two candidates in this race who have earned my support.

Johanna Boynton and Kathi Snook are proven leaders with unsurpassed credentials. Both have impressive professional, academic, and community experience. But, perhaps most importantly, Johanna and Kathi each has the character, good judgment, objectivity, and open-mindedness so important to making the work of the school committee a success.  Johanna and Kathi will focus 100 percent on the betterment of our great public schools and will not be sidetracked from that goal. They are both strong, independent women with a proven track record of consensus building.

We can all feel confident that a vote for Johanna and for Kathi is a vote for improved communication and transparency, coupled with objectivity and fair-mindedness. Please vote for Johanna Boynton and Kathi Snook so that we can move forward together!

Sincerely,

Betsy Dorr
