LETTER: In Support of Kathi Snook for School Committee

Main Street resident Barbara O'Malley Cannon writes that Snook will bring 'strength of character, intelligence, and a strong work ethic to the school committee.'

To the Editor,

I am writing to strongly endorse the candidacy of Kathi Snook for School Committee. It is with pleasure that I confidently support her ability to serve in this capacity to the benefit of our children and our schools.

I have known Kathi in multiple capacities across these past years of raising our children, serving our community and practicing our faith. She has continually impressed me with her willingness to take on leadership roles on many school activities, service projects, and chaperoning responsibilities. Kathi has always been a steadfast presence with good organization skills, an efficient manner, and friendly demeanor when working with any group of either students or parents. She coordinated fundraisers, church service trips, and parent meetings during the years of our kids being in high school, and I was always grateful to have her steering the course.

We were also fortunate as a family to interface with Kathi as an educator who provided Math tutoring for our son at CCHS. She was a skilled teacher who provided support and encouragement in a respectful and effective way.  She demonstrated an understanding of the educational process which will serve her well on the school committee.

Clearly, Kathi is committed to a life of service, and will bring strength of character, intelligence, and a strong work ethic to the school committee. It is without reservation that I encourage the town’s election of her as a school committee member.
