Music On the Lawn Series Starts Wednesday

The Concord Free Public Library returns July 10. Take a look at the lineup.

For a few weeks every year, during the summertime when the weather is hot, the library likes to get loud.

Quiet decorum continues to rule inside the Concord Free Public Library, but the front lawn plays host to musical acts and picnicking families who sit out and enjoy the library's annual Music on the Lawn series.

And that begins this Wednesday, June 10, when the Los Sugar Kings bring their Afro-Cuban sound to Concord. This, and all Music on the Lawn concerts begin at 7 p.m., with the Emerson Umbrella serving as a backup location in case of rain.
