Monday Essentials: Girl Scout Sign Ups, Stone Soup and Prostate Cancer Awareness

1. Concord/Carlisle Girl Scout Fall Sign UpLocal Girl Scout troops are accepting new members. Signups are available online here: www.hergirlscouts.org or in person at the Concord Scout House from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 or 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. 

2. Public Meetings Preview: According to the town website, public meetings posted for this week include: 

3. Teaching on Karma by Geshe Pema DorjeeAt 7 p.m. this Tuesday, Sept. 10, First Parish is hosting an opportunity to learn more about karma from a renowned Tibetan Buddhist teacher, Geshe Pema Dorjee. The talk will tackle the often challenging subject of karma, which is a central tenet to Buddhism. Get the details here
