2. Public Meetings Preview: According to the town website, here's the week's lineup of public meetings:
- Monday, Oct. 7: the Concord Carlisle Adult & Community Ed Advisory Committee at 4:45 p.m. and the Community Preservation Committee at 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 8: the Town Governance Study Committee at 8:15 a.m., the Hugh Cargill Trust at 9:15 a.m., the Council on Aging at 5:30 p.m., the Concord & Concord Carlisle Regional School Committees--Joint Meeting at 6 p.m., the Planning Board at 7 p.m., the Library Committee at 7 p.m. and the 2229 Main Street Oversight Committee at 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 9: the Tax Relief Committee at 8:30 a.m., the CCHS School Advisory Committee at 6:30 p.m., the Millbrook Tarry Task Force at 7 p.m. and the Public Works Commission at 7:15 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 10: the Historical Commission at 7 p.m., the Finance Committee/Guidelines Subcommittee at 7:30 p.m. and the Board of Appeals at 7:30 p.m.
3. Evening Music Celebration with Composer John Bell: World-renowned composer and song collector John Bell, joining from his home in Scotland, will lead an evening music celebration at West Concord Union Church this Saturday, Oct. 12. Get the details here.
4. Toddler Singalong with Ed Morgan: Singer and musician Ed Morgan will perform at the Fowler Branch Library at 10 a.m. this Friday, Oct. 11. Get the details here.

The Ernest Hemingway Collection: Examining the Man, Myth & Master; An Evening with Tom Putnam: This Monday night at the Lexington Depot, Lexington Community Education will host Kennedy Library Director Tom Putnam, who'll share insights into the life and career of Ernest Hemingway.
