Monday Essentials: Veterans Day Ceremonies, Pre-School Promo and a Play Premieres
Here's a quick look at what you need to know for the week ahead in Concord.

1. Veterans Day Ceremonies: Concord will commemorate Veterans Day with its annual Flag Retirement Ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Get the details here.
2. Public Meetings Preview: According to the town website, here's the week's lineup of public meetings:
- Monday, Nov. 11: There are no public meetings posted for today
- Tuesday, Nov. 12: the Hugh Cargill Trust at 9:15 a.m., the Council on Aging at 5:30 p.m., the Concord and Concord-Carlisle School Committees Joint Meeting at 6 p.m., the CFPL Library Committee at 7 p.m. and the Millbrook Tarry Task Force 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 13: the Central Middlesex Emergency Response Association Executive Board at 9 a.m., the West Concord Advisory Committee at 7 p.m. and the Public Works Commission at 7:15 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 14: the Historical Commission at 7 p.m., the Board of Assessors at 7:15 p.m., the Finance Committee at 7:30 p.m., the Board of Appeals at 7:30 p.m. and the HATS Hanscom Area Towns Committee at 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, Nov. 15: there are no public meetings posted for Nov. 15
3. Concord Area Preschool Fair: The Apple Valley Montessori School and Concord Family Network are sponsoring the Concord Area Preschool Fair from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. this Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Alcott School Gym in which reps from Concord, Carlisle and Lincoln preschools will provide information on their programs and answer questions. 4. "Clean Room" Opens at Emerson Umbrella: "Clean Room," Leslie Pasternack’s love story told in body, voice and mask, opens at 7:30 p.m. this Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Emerson Umbrella Center for the arts and runs through Saturday night. Get the details here.
5. Climate Solutions: Pathways to Action: At 7:30 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 15, the Climate Solutions series continues at First Parish with a panel of committed activists who will discuss diverse pathways to action that they have followed, and talk with you about ways you could get involved.
