Weekend Agenda: Early Bird Shopping, Turkey Trucks and Raffles and a Container Man Concert

1. Early Bird Shopping Day
Where/When: Commonwealth Avenue, West Concord; 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23 
Why Go: 
To partake in a 23-year-old tradition of jumping out of bed early to shop in your PJs and find special savings at the scores of participating stores in West Concord. Get more details

2. Holiday Open House at Frame-ables
Where/When: Frame-ables 111 Thoreau St., Concord; 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23
Why Go: 
Snacks and refreshments will be provided, plus there's a drawing to benefit Open Table Concord.

3. Thanksgiving Turkey Truck
Where/When: Holy Family, Monument Square, Concord; 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24
Why Go: 
Members of the Holy Family Youth Ministry will be collecting frozen turkeys (average of 10 pounds) in the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Truck, a drive to collect turkeys for the Crossroads Shelter in East Boston. Get more details here.

4. Annual Turkey Raffle and Family Outing
Where/When: Musketaquid Sportmen's Club, 250 Old Mill Road, Concord; 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24
Why Go: 
Because this event promises fun for the entire family: More than 70 turkeys will be raffled off, with additional surprise raffles and $600 in cash prizes will also be available. Children can enjoy carnival-style games and free hayrides around portions of the club’s 120 acres. Plus, food and beverage concessions.

5. Concert Debut: The Container Man All-Stars
Where/When: Contemporary Arts International, 68 Quarry Road, Acton; 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24 
Why Go: 
Several of the region’s most prominent  experimental musicians – part of a newly formed ensemble, CONTAINER MAN All Stars – will explore the sound potential of CONTAINER MAN (CM), a colossal kinetic sculpture that contains 14 amplified mechanical musical instruments installed on a 40-foot shipping container. Get the details here
