Your Guide: Concord Farm and Garden Harvest Fair

A weekend's worth of events will celebrate local agriculture in Concord.

Do farming communities host farmers markets? That’s a question for the ages, but one that won’t be answered this weekend.

Over the past several years, there have been many conversations delving into the idea of farming communities and evolving issues of commercialization, including the well-meaning debate around farm stands versus farmers markets.

And it all comes to a head this weekend, in the form of the Concord Farm and Garden Harvest Fair.

Building off of established events, the Concord Food Network is establishing a weekend-long program promoting local agriculture and area farming operations.

It starts with the traditional Ag Day Farmer’s Market, and progresses into a schedule of area garden tours and a kids’ film festival at the Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts.
