  With Memorial Day just a few weeks away, it's about time to start thinking about the cookouts we'll be hosting and/or attending. Reader's Choose Best St. Paddy's Day Location

Voters named Main Streets Market as their favorite.

  In another close contest, readers named Main Streets Market and Café the best place to spend St. Patrick’s Day in Concord. With polls closing today at 9 a.m., Main Streets Market inched out the Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub in West Concord by one vote. A recent favorite of locals on St. Paddy’s Day, Main Streets Market will feature a live performance from folk/rock group Bare Hill on Saturday night. Also receiving votes in our poll were Concord’s Colonial Inn and Waxy O’Connors in Lexington. Of Waxy’s, reader Kerry Fogler wrote, “Great food and drinks, waitstaff is great! The Reader's Choice for Best Auto Service

Voters named Kevin's Automotive their favorite.

After tallying the votes and comments, the winner for this week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice is in, and Kevin's Automotive Service has won for best auto mechanic in Concord. A Concord fixture for over 30 years, Kevin’s garnered 40 percent of the vote in our poll. The shop specializes in all forms of repair, including tires, heating and cooling, inspections and brakes. Coming in second place with 26 percent of the vote was Nine Acre Auto Service. Patch reader Craig First commented that the Fitchburg Turnpike establishment offered reliable and honest service.
