Video: CROP Walk Unites Community in Effort to Combat Hunger

Charity event raises $52,400 to fight hunger

Yesterday, the thirtieth annual CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Walk for the Hungry brought together about 400 volunteers at First Parish Church to walk against hunger. Before the walkers left the church, there were many events that took place including a pep band and a speech from Burton Joseph, the Church World Service program manager from Haiti. There was also a banner contest that took place among the youth.  CROP Walk board member, Sharon Duquette, explained what it is about.
