Concord Town Elections Shaping Up

And with contested races!

The nominees are in, and it looks like Concord’s annual Town Election, scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, will feature contested races for the two seats coming open on the School Committee. Following the Town Caucus and subsequent deadline for nomination papers, there are four candidates, all of them newcomers, for two three-year terms on the School Committee. Residents Lisa Bergen, Johanna Boynton, Cyntia Rainey and Kathleen Snook were all nominated at the Town Caucus, held this past Monday, Jan. 28. Also nominated at the caucus were Eric Van Loon for a one-year term as Town moderator, Carmen Reiss and Alice Kaufman for Board of Selectmen and Dennon Rodrigue for a five-year term on the Concord Housing Authority.  Van Loon, the current …
