Community Chest Event to Focus on Staying Connected in a 'Crazybusy' World

In a talk this Tuesday night at Fenn School, Dr. Edward Hallowell will discuss his book, 'Crazybusy' emphasizing how to stay connected to your family and community.

The following information was provided by the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest. Dr. Edward M. Hallowell, child and adult psychiatrist, world-renowned speaker, NY Times bestselling author and leading authority in the field of ADHD, will be speaking at the Fenn School this Tuesday, Jan. 15, at a community presentation for the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest. The talk begins at 7:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. But you must register for the event by emailing the Community Chest at info@cccommunitychest.org. A Merry Christmas to All

Here are some places that need giving most of all.

  It’s Christmas Eve, for those who celebrate, and for those who don’t, well, it’s a night with nothing new on TV and stores closing early. With any luck, all your gifts are wrapped, the baking is done and cleaned up, and you’re sitting by the fire with an egg nog in one hand, cookies in the other. That’s my idea of the perfect Christmas Eve. Of course, the 24th of December also means the year is winding down, and with all the giving you’ve been doing up till now, there’s still a little time to think about more giving. Charitable giving. End-of-the year, do-it-in-time-for-your-taxes giving. And what better way to do this than by giving close to home?
