Over the last few weeks we've offered up some suggestions on great gifts for moms, dads, and kids. Here are a few ideas on gifts for the person who has everything.
We've all got someone on our holiday shopping list that just seems to have everything. What do you get for that person who grows increasingly more difficult to buy for each year? Well the Concord Indies have some great suggestions for the person who already has everything. 1. Stop by Concord Cheese Shop on your way to the holiday party and choose from their pre-made holiday gift baskets, featuring an assortment of wines, cheeses, nuts, chocolates and other goodies. 2. Pick up a festive Boxwood Tree at Concord Flower Shop. These handcrafted, decorative trees come in a variety of themes, and with proper care, last a whole month. 3. Concord Convenience opens the Trail's End Cafe and Concord Flower Shop finds a new home.
You may have noticed a few changes to the streetscapes around town lately, as two popular Concord businesses are celebrating expansion and relocation of their operations. After more than two decades, the Concord Flower Shop has left Thoreau Street for a new location in West Conocrd, and Concord Convenience on Lowell Road recently celebrated the opening of the Trail’s End Cafe. Helen Halloran of Concord Flower Shop said she is more than pleased with her 135 Commonwealth Ave. location, which officially opened on Sept. 6, and all of the friendly faces in town that have welcomed her back to her old neighborhood. “I grew up within walking distance of here, so it really feels like I moved home in a way,” Halloran said, recalling the days when …

Readers enjoy a peddle around town with Concord Pedicab.
Helen Halloran of Concord Flower Shop took a fun ride on Thursday thanks to Concord Pedicabs. She shares her experience here. What’s the best way to get to a Rotary Club meeting on a hot day? Concord’s Pedicab! Andrea Zall of Frame-ables and I shared this unique mode of transportation and thoroughly enjoyed it in spite of the heat. Sue Merlino, Concord Bike Tours and Pedicabs owner, graciously donated her time and energy to safely pedal us to our destination at The Colonial Inn where we meet for Rotary each Thursday. With the cover up for shade and the breeze blowing in our faces, we made the trip from Thoreau Street in record time. In fact, we enjoyed it so much, we took the pedicab back to work after the lunch meeting. Sue was a great …
