Patriot Girls Cross-Country Finishes Second at Eastern Mass. Championships; Qualify for All-State Meets
The C-C girls took second at the Eastern Mass. Cross-Country Championships on Nov. 13. The result propels the team into the All-State Meets on Nov. 20. The boys finished fifth, just out of contention, but sophomore Seamus Lawlor earned an individual bid.
It was a very successful day for the Concord-Carlisle cross-country girls at the Eastern Mass. Divisional Championships on Nov. 13 at Franklin Park. The team finished second in Division III, securing a spot at the ALL-State Meets on Nov. 20 in Gardner. This result comes on the heels of a strong second place finish at the Dual-County League Championships on Oct. 28. The structure of the All-State meet places the top four teams and one fifth place wildcard team, and the top 10 runners from non-qualifying teams, from the East in one of two divisions against the top three teams, and the top 10 runners from non-qualifying teams, from the Western and Central Divisional Championships.
