'Tis the Season for a Holiday House Tour

Second annual Holiday House Tour in historic Concord on Saturday, December 8, 2012

The following announcement was provided by the Concord Musuem. On the second annual Holiday House Tour organized by the Guild of Volunteers of the Concord Museum, seven of Concord’s most beautiful private homes will be professionally decorated in the holiday spirit by local and Boston-based interior designers. From 11 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, guests will be welcomed inside the front doors of these gracious private residences to visit the charming ground floor rooms. From Colonial to Victorian to Shingle Style and more, each house will be decorated in a different holiday theme.  The Concord Museum welcomes you to spend the day in Concord, a small town with a big history, and enjoy the elegant streets, charming cafés, and shops. …

Lots of holiday stuff going on this weekend.

Hey, it’s the first day of December! A month filled with holiday happenings, friend gatherings, and eggnog. Of course, that also means holiday shopping, card sending, and food hangovers – dang, I think I’m already behind! I’m still coming off my Thanksgiving food coma, don’t have a picture for the holiday card, and haven’t gone up to the attic for the decorations. I think I may need a kickstart to get me into the spirit; luckily, there are a lot of great activities starting this weekend that will do just that. We kick off the season locally on Sunday, with the tree lighting in Concord Center at 5:15 p.m. I do love this event: walking up and down Main Street, visiting shops, eating cookies and sipping hot chocolate, imagining what I’ll do …

On the first annual Holiday House Tour, organized by the Guild of Volunteers of the Concord Museum, seven of Concord’s most beautiful private homes will be professionally decorated in the holiday spirit by local and Boston-based interior designers.
